Evaluation question 3
INTRODUCTION
Our target audience for the music video was aimed at the group for people that like rap and hip hop music. This is especially for people who follow Tyler the Creator and his music. The music is shown to only be for a specific type of audience and not something that would normally be for the general audience or played on the radio. Examples of our target audience age would be mainly teenagers aged between 18-25 and of the black culture.
VLOG RESEARCH
Before we decided what song to do and how we would plan it out, we decided that it would be a good idea to look at different youtube vloggers to see what they thought of the videos. This gave us a good understanding of what song to use and how to plan out our video. It helped us out a lot as we could see there reactions and what would be the best thing to do for our video when coming to film it. Another reason is which it could help is to make sure our music video is the best and fits in with the genre of rap music.
YOUTUBE
Using Youtube, we decided that it was an important website that we used to upload interviews that we had done with class mates to ask them about our video, digipak and Magazine advert. It also let us get feedback so we know what was better to do. We also decided to look at different Youtube vloggers who reacted in different ways to the song that we were using. Watching these Vloggers gave us a better understanding on how to make our music video and make sure all the conventions of a rap video were in our video. From all of the research that we did, i found out that the Vloggers liked the music videos that had a meaning to it and how the video was made. With knowing this, we decided to make our video very simple but with enough impact to make the audience understand.
PEER EVALUATION
We used youtube to upload many videos of drafts for the music video. This was so we could see what the editing techniques looked like, and how it looked on Youtube. We also did this so we could get feedback from people watching it and then using the feedback to make the video better and better. Using peer evaluation, this meant that we could understand what we needed to do from another persons perspective. This was good because we used some evaluations from our target audience which meant that we knew what we were doing and how we could make it better.
WORDLE
We decided to use Wordle to put lyrics together in a small bundle. We did this to see what the most relevant words are in the song. It is a good idea because you can see what the most used words are in yo
AUDICECE INTERVIEW
We decided to interview some people who enjoyed the genre of hip hop/rap. We asked them to watch our video and what they thought off it so we could understand what we needed to do to make it better. This helped plan many ideas that we have now implemented in our video. Example of this are the handcuffs and the chain that we used in Verse 1. The costumes and props that our audience told us to use where the hand cuffs and dark clothes with a gold chain. We decided to go with these ideas because we though that they would look good in a conventional rap video.
PITCH FEEDBACK
When doing our plan for the pitch, it guided us and helped us think of the ideas that we used for the music video and to make it the best it was. The pitch plan was very effective in the process of the music video as it helped us realise what the correct mise-en-scene, cinematography, genre and editing techniques for the video,
FACEBOOK
We decided that we would use Facebook to reach out to the target audience. This is because a lot of people are on Facebook and view pages. This was also so we could get feedback from people viewing our page and telling us what they like and dislike. We had feedback from a few people telling us the pros and cons of it which helped us in the long run when finalising the video. This helped a lot for our music video as
